How do I apply for your ARC team?
My ARC Team generally opens 6-8 weeks before a new indie release. When it does open, it is only open for 48-72 hours because we get hundreds of applicants in that short time period. My PA needs time to go through them. We have limited spots available on the team each release, and we try our hardest to get as many on as we can. The only requirement for consideration is that you have reviewed a book of mine in the past. If the book is a continuation of a series, we also ask that you’ve read the previous book(s). Follower count and social media presence is not a consideration for ARCs, but it is looked at for the Street Team since part of that team is helping spread the word on social media platforms. We’ll have more details when ARC time gets closer.
How do I apply for your Street Team?
We recently revamped my indie Street Team, rebuilding it from the ground up. We’re making sure we do it right, which means not growing faster than we can handle. We’re getting systems in place for long-term sustainability. Additionally, my resources are finite. My Street Team gets physical items sent to them periodically, so I need to ensure we’re staying within my means as well. It will open again at some point, and when it does, we’ll be sure to shout about it everywhere.
How many books are planned for your series?
The Avonleya series is expected to be a duology. The Fallen series, the upcoming traditionally published series, is slated to be a four-book series. Lady of Darkness is complete with five books and two novellas. The Legacy Series is complete with four books.
How many books are indie published, and how many are traditionally published?
The Darkness Series is currently indie published in all markets except for the UK. The series is traditionally published there and in their territories, including Australia and excluding Canada. The Legacy Series is traditionally published in North American markets. It is currently indie published outside North America. The Avonleya Series is currently indie published worldwide. The Fallen Series will be completely traditionally published.
Do you offer signed books?
The Treasure Shop is your place for signed hardcover and paperback books! They are always available there. Orders from the Treasure Shop always come packaged with a little extra dragon love. However, please note that I cannot sell copies from my author to shop in territories where a series is traditionally published. When ordering from the Treasure Shop, please read the product descriptions. We try to keep them updated so you can anticipate possible delays in delivery depending on product inventory levels.
Do you have a list of special editions and exclusives I can find for your books?
You can find information in the albums of Melissa's Dragon Cave, my reader Facebook community. There are albums with images for each series and they are updated regularly by my assistant. They include my own editions, standard editions, foreign editions and editions created by bookish companies.
